New media collaborations let students deliver story in new ways

The evolution of journalism and “new media” practices is giving rise to revolutionary ideas produced by students.

A panel of five professors showed media and new technology collaborations Wednesday afternoon to an audience of AEJMC conference participants. Despite many believing that journalism is in a state of 911, the workshop, The New Convergence: Innovations in Industry and Academic Collaborations, showed how this technology is leading to fresh student ideas. Highlighted works included collaborations between teams of students, professors, and researchers from various
universities that worked with various foundations and organizations to
