I created this particular digital story for an assignment in my American Indian Studies Course, Creative Native Process, which was taught by Dr. Roberta Hill. This was my first experience juggling, video, audio, still photos, music, maps and sound effects. I used iMovie for connecting all the pieces into the actual digital story, Garage Band for recording my voice narrative, background music and sound effects and Photo Shop for resizing photos. All in all the process of creating this digital story was incredibly rewarding and I would encourage anyone to give digital storytelling a try.
I must also include a huge thank you to the folks at the UW-Madison Digital Media Center [Eric and Annie] for their technical support. Thanks go out to Shirley, Jennylynn and Deb as well for being willing to let me film them on short notice. A thank you also to North Dakota Tourism/Jason Lindsey for allowing me to use the beautiful picture of the Missouri River.
